Peach Cobbler

Ingredients:
-Pie Crust
-6 or 7 cups of frozen peaches
-1 cup pf granulated sugar
-2 tablespoons of butter melted
-1 teaspoon of lemon juice
-1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
-1 egg white
-1 tablespoon of cinnamon sugar
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Get pie crust and divide it into 2 balls.
- Roll out the first ball and place it into a greased deep dish pie plate.
- Roll out the second ball and cut it into 8 strips that are long enough to touch the rim of the plate from both ends.
- Refrigerate the crusts until we are ready to use them.
- In a large bowl, add the peaches and sugar. Then toss them until the peaches are coated.
- Let this sit until the peaches have thawed completely. The sugar should look syrupy. (If need be, put in microwave)
- Now add the melted butter and stir.
- Next add the vanilla extract and lemon juice. Stir
- Now go and get the pie crusts out the fridge:). Sprinkle half of the sugar mixture onto the bottom crust and press it in.
- Get a spoon and spoon the peaches into the prepared pie crust. Leave the excess juice in the bowl; you do not want the pie to be runny.
- Get the 8 strips of the crust and place this over top in a design of your choice. But do make sure to seal the edges.
- Brush the egg whites over the top crusts strips ad sprinkle the remaining sugar overtop.
- Place in oven for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, reduce the heat from 400 to 350 degrees and place a cover over the pie. Bake like this for another 25 minutes. By the end, crusts should be cooked through and the syrup should be thickened.
- When done, remove this from the oven and remove the covering foil.
- Let the cobbler cool and Enjoy! 🙂
