I am from Imo State in Nigeria, more specifically Owerri which is the capital. Imo State is also called the “Eastern Heartland” because it is located in the Eastern region of Nigeria. There is an estimated 5.4 million people located in Imo. This small city is named after the Imo river. Imo is 98% Igbo which is a tribe, we speak the Igbo language alongside English.
