Nigerian Tribes

A tribe is a group of people with related families, who live together, share the same language, culture, and history. In Nigeria there is over 250 tribes but 3 tribes make up almost 70% of the population. The three most popular tribes in Nigeria are Igbo, Hausa, and Yoruba. Although we are all Nigerian we have a different culture and don’t share physical characteristics. I am Igbo and we make up about 18% of the population, Hausa people make up about 25%, and the Yoruba make up around 21%.
