Levels of Ultimate
Once a player is skilled enough to compete outside of school, there are many different levels one can play at. In America at the club level, a player can try out for a team in one of the 4 different “flights”
- Classic: This is the base division for every new club team
- Select: These are the clubs that perform well at regional competitions, but fails to qualify for the national championship
- Elite: These club teams make it to the national championship, placing 16th-9th
- Pro: These are the best clubs in the world, placing 8th-1st in the national championship

These club teams can vary from a casual playing and skill-building experience to a very intense competitive experience, a lot of players on the Pro level club teams also compete as a professional player in one of the multiple professional ultimate leagues.
- The American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL) is the professional ultimate league for men, which at the moment has 25 teams across North America
- The Premier Ultimate League (PUL) is the professional ultimate league for women, which consist of 12 teams in North and South America
