Banana Bread Recipe

Ingredients Needed:

  • 3 ripe bananas (medium/large size)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temp)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs (lightly beaten)
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease and flour a bread loaf pan. Lightly roast walnuts on a skillet, continuously stirring to avoid burning them. Chop coarsely and cool to room temp.
  2. Mix the 8 tbsp (1/2 cup) of softened butter, and 3/4 cup of sugar together in a bowl (honey is an excellent substitute for sugar).
  3. Mash the ripe bananas until it has a thick consistency, and add them to the batter mix as well as 2 eggs. Mix until blended consistency appears.
  4. Whisk together 1 1/2 cups flour, 1 tsp baking soda, and 1/2 tsp of salt in a separate bowl, then combine with batter.
  5. Add 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract, chopped walnuts, chocolate chips, and raisins into the mix and stir. Pour into prepped loaf pan and spread evenly. Bake for 55-60 mins at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or until you stick a toothpick in the center and it comes out clean. Let it rest 10 mins before transferring to a wire rack to cool down.
