1959: NASCAR’s first race was held in Daytona Beach, where Red Byron took the win in his Ford.

1979: NASCAR goes National! Once the races’ began being promoted on National Television, it gained lots of love an attention as it was no longer just a regional sport.

2005: NASCAR became the second most watched sport in the country, following only the NFL in viewership.
