- The Washington Commanders were founded in 1932 as the “Boston Braves”. In 1937 the team moved to Washington D.C.
- In 1933 the team changed its name to the Redskins, which remained the team name until 2020
- The team is now called the Commanders, and with a new front office, coaching staff, and quarterback the Commanders have potential to be a very special team for years to come
