The Old Arnold Estate, famously known as the Conjuring House, is located in Burrillville, Rhode Island. It was a colonial home built in 1693 by Eleazer Arnold with 140 acres of land inherited from his father. The Arnold family and the property reportedly saw its fair share of suicides, murder, and mysterious deaths during its long history. These experiences inspired the film series, The Conjuring.
Haunted History – The Arnold Estate has been a site of paranormal activity since the 18th century. It all began when spirits of the native American began haunting the home ground. The home is a series of tragedies including Bathsheba Sherman, a lady who sacrificed her week old baby in front of a fireplace to evil spirits. After this encounter, she committed suicide by hanging herself. Bathsheba is said to be the most evil and active spirit at the estate.
