The Biltmore Estate is located in Ashville, North Carolina. George Vanderbilt built the estate as a home to pursue his interest in art and literature. There are various secret passages hidden around the hotel. The secret doorways were designed to provide easy access for staff and provide guest with convenience when going from room to room. In 1996, the Biltmore was transformed into a hotel to increase tourisms, and officially opened for guest in 2021. Accommodations include restaurants, gift shops, and a winery.
Haunted History – The Biltmore Hotel has tons of paranormal activity. Guests have reported seeing a spirit of a little boy running around, the ghost of a nurse, and a little girl. The entire second floor of the hotel is closed off and never used due to the presence of spirits roaming around.
