Seven – This character has a cannon and spear, which is a great combo. Spear is easy to learn with strict combos and is one of the safer weapons, while cannon is more aggressive and requires stringing many moves together. Seven’s signature attacks on both weapons are some of the best in the entire game and her spear sigs go great with light attacks, and with her great strength and defense, you will find yourself winning lots of games.
Kaya – This character has a spear and bow, two weapons on the easier side, with strict combos. Kaya’s stats are all around great because she is extremely fast, and her signatures are very hard to avoid. She is great for starting out the game, and lots of professionals use this character.
Wu Shang – This character has gauntlets and a spear, with gauntlets being more on the faster and more creative side of the weapons. He is a very popular character for beginners and has signatures that are easy to hit and pair well with dodge reads on both weapons. His stats are decent, and Wu Shang is one of the safest and most fun characters to play in the game.
Mordex – This character has a scythe and gauntlets. As the most played legend in the entire game, Mordex has two of the most fun and challenging weapons in the game, with the scythe being extremely difficult to grasp because of the creativity required for it. His signatures on scythe are especially useful for dodge reads, and though scythe is not as recommended for beginners, you will find yourself playing this beast of a character later down the road even if you don’t want to.
Teros – This character has hammer and axe, with axe being relatively easy because you just swing it, though hammer can be a little difficult starting out with its set combos. Teros nearly has max strength with axe, meaning he is a perfect match up for nearly every legend you go against. His sigs are also hard to punish and come out fast. Plus, you can play as Patrick Star with this guy!
