Since you’re already paying a lot of money to attend TU, I recommend taking advantage of the resources to get your moneys worth. These are some free resources I would highly recommend using.

Career Center

The Career Center provides one-on-one career counseling, self-assessment tests and online resources to help you discover a career path, master the art of the interview, create an impressive resume, and develop a professional image for a competitive edge.

 

Cook Library

The Albert S. Cook Library at Towson University offers a variety of resources to help students with their research and study needs. With a collection of over 390,000 books and 950,000 electronic books, students have access to a wide range of materials. Additionally, the library provides access to over 380 electronic databases and approximately 100,000 electronic and print journals. Students can also explore digital collections, rare books, and historical TU documents and photographs through the Special Collections & University Archives.

They also have an ask a librarian service where you can message a librarian on their website and ask questions. They can help you find resources, create citations, etc.

 

Counseling Center

The Counseling Center at Towson University provides flexible and culturally responsive care that is tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. Same-day appointments are available to students who seek help, and the center offers a variety of support options, including workshops, groups, and peer support.

Writing Center

The Writing Center at Towson University is a resource available to all students, faculty, and staff. They provide personalized assistance to writers of all skill levels and in any stage of the writing process, from brainstorming ideas to polishing the final draft. The Writing Center aims to help writers develop and organize their thoughts, sharpen their focus, and communicate their ideas more clearly and effectively. They provide guidance for various types of writing projects, including PowerPoint presentations, lab reports, resumes, and more. They read through your writing and provide feedback.
