Anxiety Disorder:
People with this disorder tend to have an excessive fear and worry for certain things that affect their daily activities. Symptoms can be so severe to the point that it effects how your body functions, like panic attacks. There are different types of anxiety disorders, which include panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, separation anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and others.
Depression:
A person dealing with this usually has feelings of sadness and these emotions typically affect the way they function on a daily basis. This person may experience depressive episodes which could look like losing interest in an activity for a short period of time to a longer range of time or can be them being in a depressive mood (feeling empty, sad, irritable). There are other symptoms that are connected with this like, trigger warning, thoughts of su*c*de.
Bipolar Disorder:
A person with this disorder typically experiences alternating depressive episodes and periods of manic symptoms. During these depressive episodes, a person can experience depressed moods (sadness, irritability, emptiness). And manic symptoms can look like increased energy, increased talkativeness, distractibility, euphoria, and others. There are medications and treatments people with this disorder can take to help
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD):
This disorder occurs when a person has experienced a traumatic or life threatening event(s). After the event(s), the person may experience these three things: one, having flashbacks or reimagining the event(s), two, trying to avoid thinking about the event(s), and three, always thinking that they are in danger. And these things may persist for weeks or years.
Eating Disorders:
This disorder includes anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and others, but it is when a person has abnormal eating habits its that affects the overall well-being of the person with the disorder. A continuation of these behaviors can cause long-term harm and effects on a person’s body and mentality. There are treatments like cognitive based therapy that can help with this disorder.
