According to a 2022 AfroLovely article, 56% of adults in the United States have either wavy, curly, or coily hair. However, a lot of people are not knowledgeable on taking care of their curly hair, and instead will use heat to straighten their hair (this causes one to be subject to heat damage). Naturally curly hair is beautiful, in all textures, and should be celebrated!
This project, through the following pages, will introduce and inform readers on how to care for and identify different aspects of naturally curly hair, specifically curly/coily hair:
- Hair Porosity
- Curl Pattern
- Protective Styling
- Silk & Satin Care
See below for some suggested do’s and don’ts for naturally curly hair!
