- No additional schooling is needed to become a softball coach, however most college coaches have a masters degree in something related to sports management or communications.
- Similar to S&C coaches, connections are very important to land a good position. Things such as volunteer assistant and graduate assistant are usually the first step someone takes right out of college to get into the industry.
- It takes a while to climb the ladder and become a head coach. The average salary of a collegiate head softball coach lands between 40-65k. However the best of the best have signed multimillion dollar contracts like the coach at University of Oklahoma and Alabama.
