Ins and Outs of Hot Yoga

Hot Yoga is similar to many other classic forms of yoga, with the added variable of the room being heated to 90-105 degrees F. This added heat does many things for the body including promoting a sweatier workout (more toxins will be released), improving hip flexion and adduction, and can induce a flight or fight reaction, pushing your boundaries from a mental health perspective. However, risks are also involved such as the increased chance of passing out with certain health conditions, and increased risk of dehydration. Immersing yourself in this sauna-like environment during the practice of yoga creates an environment in which you can de-stress while also intensifying the workout to make sure you get everything out of a session that you are looking for.
