Baltimore is the largest city in the state of Maryland and the 30th most populous city in the United States. It’s also a place that I like to call my hometown, being I was born and raised in the heart of the city. Baltimore was founded in 1729, and it is one of the oldest cities in the country and has a rich history and culture. The city is located on the Patapsco River, just 40 miles northeast of Washington, D.C. and is known for its historic neighborhoods, museums, and landmarks such as the Inner Harbor, Fort McHenry, and Edgar Allan Poe’s grave. The city is also home to several institutions of higher education and a thriving arts scene.
