Bagan
The first capital of the first Burmese Empire from the 9th to the 13th centuries, this is the site that Marco Polo once described as the “Gilded City”. This city was home to around 13,000 Buddhist temples during it’s glory in the 11th century. The city hosts thousands of temples, stupas and pagodas, the most prominent one being; the famous Ananda Temple. The city stretches over 26 square miles, creating an outer-worldly view from up above.
Hot Balloon
One of the most powerful ways to enjoy this city is by gliding above it on a hot balloon. The rides take place in the early mornings as the sunrise hits the tops of temples and shines as gold.
