Premier League

The Premier League is the highest level of the English soccer league system. The league consists of 20 clubs which operates on a system of promotion and relegation. Seasons typically run from August to May, with each team playing a total of 38 matches against all other teams, both home and away.

Point System:

  • Three points are awarded for a win.
  • One point for a draw.
  • No points for a defeat.

The team with the most points at the end of the season are awarded the Premier League title and is widely regarded as the best team in England.

The teams who finish in the bottom three of the league table at the end of the season are regulated into the second tier of the league and must fight their way up.

Those 3 teams that are regulated into the second-tier league are replaced by the 3 teams at the top of the second tier.
