Thrifting – Tips and Tricks

Through my involvement in Thrifting, I have figured out some specific tips and tricks that will optimize your Thrifting experience.

Tips/Tricks

• Tip 1:  To find good deals on clothing, furniture or curious, get tot he Thrift store early.  The early bird gets the worm.    The new items get put on the racks and there is usually less competition to find clothes.
• Tip 2:  Each store rolls out new items throughout the data at set times.  This is crucial to know this schedule as you will be the first in line to sift through new items.
• Tip 3:  Sourcing from the bins.  The vintage stores like Goodwill, have large bins where they store bulk items that are unsorted.  Getting to these bins first, is a great but the quality of the items may be varied.
• Tip 4:  Know what you are looking for and know the value of your items.  Concert T-shirts can be real or fake.  So study up and learn the difference between the clothing, the T-shirt manufacturer and understand the value of what you are sourcing.
