Soto with the San Diego Padres

On May 20, 2018, Soto made his major league debut at 19 years, and 207 days becoming the youngest player in the major league. Soto by the end of an impressive 2018 rookie season, ended up second in NL Rookie of the Year voting behind Braves star, Ronald Acuna Jr. Soto would also finish second in NL MVP voting behind Bryce Harper in 2021. Soto would spend four years on the Nationals when in the 2022 season, he was traded to the San Diego Padres with the Nationals getting a massive trade package in return for him.
