Massapequa High school is where I attended 9th-12th grade and swam on the varsity swim team. Massapequa wasnt really known for having a great team but during my years we had a few girls from LIAC on the team at the same time and allowed us to be competitive when it came to county and state meets.
During my Junior and Senior years I was able to win Massapequas first county titles in 12 years as well as help on a relay that made it to states in Ithica. This was a great experience as well as a nice break from club swimming where it felt more team oriented. The idea that you need to be your best to help your team succeed was something I had experienced at LIAC as it was more individual accomplishment oriented. During this time I started the recruiting process where I was able to reach out to schools and find the best fit for me. Thats when I was offered a scholarship to towson and was so excited to have found a team where I knew would be amazing.
