Florida is considered the flattest state in the country, with the lowest high point of any U.S. state! It is home to about 21.48 million residents as of 2021. The Capitol of the state is Tallahassee, located near the northern panhandle region. It is the third largest state in the U.S. and is known as the “Sunshine State”.  Florida is bordered by the states Alabama and Georgia and surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean to the East and the Gulf of Mexico to the West.
