Between the years since the last greatest roster for the Ravens, they had truly made a name for themselves being that team no offense wanted to face. But, it seemed a lot of those years, the Ravens lost great players due to injury and could never make it far enough to get to another Super Bowl. In 2008, they drafted two rookies, Joe Flacco and Ray Rice, who helped shift the Ravens to more of a dominate offense. Joe Flacco helped the Ravens make it to the playoffs every year with newest head coach, John Harbaugh at the helm. Though that offense was good, the defense still shined with leaders such as: Terrell Suggs, Ed Reed, Haloti Ngata, and Ray Lewis. What made this team one of the best rosters, was their fight and sheer will to help their star LB Ray Lewis get another Super Bowl win before calling it a career. In this playoff run, Joe Flacco had the best statistics of any QB ever with 11 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. Him and the offense came together to make it all the way to the Super Bowl, but not without a little miracle along the way! This team won their second Super Bowl in franchise history playing against John’s brother, Jim and his San Francisco 49ers. These Ravens had a greater balance on offense and defense, compared to earlier rosters who were more defensively dominate.
