Summary: Bowser has once again grown and increased his power to galactic proportions using the grand stars, with the plans of hoping to take over the Universe. Mario must venture the galaxies, rescue the grand stars, and restore peace to the Universe.
Why I like this game.
1.) I thought that the power ups were cool. One of the power ups was a rock-shroom. A mushroom that let Mario turn into a boulder and roll over his enemies. It was a fun power up to use in bowling mini games and levels where you needed to guide Mario, rolling in his boulder form, to the end of the level.
2.) Along the journey to rescue Princess Peach. You have to collect power stars which help you advance through the worlds to rescue the grand stars. Throughout the game there are 120 power stars that you need to collect. After you collect all 120, you get to start the game back at the first world and collect the Cosmic Jewels or better known as green power stars. What’s fun about this is that unlike regular power stars, they are hidden, and you have to really pay attention to the terrain to find them.
3.) Unlike its predecessor, Yoshi makes an appearance to help Mario on his journey. Like Mario, Yoshi has his own special abilities but in the form of fruit. One of them is the Hot-Stepping Dash Pepper. It gives Yoshi the ability to run really fast to the point where he can run in walls and across water.
This track titled Bowsers Galaxy Generator was composed by Koji Kondo, Mahito Yokota, and Ryo Nagamatsu. I like this track because in the context of the game it is the level where you fight Bowser. Whenever I play this level, the music always gets me hyped up knowing that this is the final showdown with the universe at stake.
