established in 1834, the Long Island Rail road (LIRR) stretches from the eastern tip of Long Island to Manhattan. It is one of the best ways to get around, whether you’re going from town to town, or eastern Long Island to the city. With 126 stops, you can get around to exact towns for a very affordable price, and rely on an accurate schedule.   • go right into  MSG, right above Penn station to watch a rangers game, Knicks game, or concert.
  • Check out UBS center in Elmont to watch the NY Islanders or see the Belmont race track.
