Hungry? you’re in the right spot. Long Island offers some of the best food you can imagine. Whether it’s a famous breakfast sandwich, Ice cream, or a nice dinner with a view, Long Island has something that your sure to enjoy. Here is my list of places you MUST visit before leaving!

1. Bagel man, Merrick. 

The perfect start to every Islander’s beach day. This is a true spot for the locals. For me, it’s an everything bagel with cream cheese, or with a bacon egg and cheese on top. Or as a local will define it a BEC (bacon egg and cheese) with SPK (salt, pepper and ketchup). If you want a true Long Island experience you cannot leave without getting a bagel. You will regret it.

2.  Buoy Bar, Point Lookout. 

located right near Point Look out Beach, and at the heart of a famous beach town, the buoy bar offers the perfect Long Island vibe. Enjoy drinks, food, live music, and a view.

3. Shrimpy’s Burrito bar, Massapequa.

If your starving and want to a hefty meal, this is your spot. A classic burrito big enough to feed a family, Shrimpy’s Burrito Bar has a type of Burrito for everyone. My personal favorite: obviously the Shrimp Burrito.

4. ITA Kitchen, Bayshore. 

ITA is perfect for classic Italian lovers. The artistically shaped food will look so beautiful you will be left not wanting to eat it, and posting pictures of it on your instagram. However, once you start eating it, you won’t look up from your plate until it’s gone. ITA offers a beautiful venue with outdoor and indoor seating, as well as beautiful bubble seats.

5. San Marzano, Merrick. 

Did you really think I would let you leave without pizza? San Marzano Pizza in Merrick offers the highest quality, homemade, brick oven pizza. I recommend getting 2 pies!
