Why I Do Accounting?

I am a bit of a nerd when it comes to accounting, I enjoy the systems that are created for it. The system is followed by accountants to yield the most accurate information that allows businesses, shareholders, and individuals to make decisions based on those results. I like to think of each part as a puzzle piece it may seem jumbled and messy at first, but once the pieces come together it’ll give you the bigger picture. I am planning on going into the auditing field, which allows for more judgment calls of interpretations of information to review a company. I enjoy this because this allows you to make different judgments and defend yourself with the work you’ve done. This field also protects the public by giving an auditor’s opinion on the company’s financial statements if they are following the standards or not.
