Study tips!

I know those average statistics for apply to Towsons nursing program may seem daunting, but I promise it is do-able. With these study tips and tricks I have been able to maintain a 4.0 GPA all throughout my first year here at TU.

Tip #1:

  • STAY ON TOP OF YOUR WORK!!! I know this sounds obvious but it is my number 1 tip. It is so easy to fall behind and in many of the required math and science pre reqs you just cannot afford to fall behind. These courses build and build and build off the previous lectures information and it is crucial to stay on top

Tip #2:

  • NOTECARDS!!! Much of biology is just memorization. I cannot stress how much making notecards will benefit you. Make notecards based off powerpoint lectures and any extra book information you feel necessary. And if time allows stay on top by memorizing that set of cards before the next lecture class. This will allow you to fully understand what is going on and not fall behind.

Tip #3:

  • YOUTUBE!!! There are many helpful videos on the youtube that are free and can further help your knowledge on the subjects. Youtube is especially helpful when studying to take the ATI TEAS 7 exam. YouTube like Nurse Cheung and The Tutor Geek are two that have really been helping me study for the TEAS.
