10: Kobe Bryant

Background Information

Kobe Bryant is on my list at the tenth greatest player in NBA history. Kobe declared for the NBA draft at the age of 18 after being recognized as one of the best high school basketball players ever. He was drafted to the Charlotte Hornets in 1996, but traded to the Los Angeles Lakers later in that draft. He is known as one of the most loyal players because he spent his entire career in Los Angeles.  Kobe Bryant played the shooting guard position. His nickname was “The Black Mamba” because he had a killer incstinct on the basketball court. Black mambas are known for being vicous and having a killer instinct.

Accolades

Kobe was a 5 time NBA champion and won finals MVP in two of them. He was an 18 time all star and has been on the all NBA team 15 times. In addition, Kobe was on the all defence team 12 times and won the Most Valuable Player award in 2008. Kobe averaged 25 points,  5.2 rebounds, and  4.7 assists each game throughout his career. Kobe was one of the most influential players of all time due to his mentality and work ethic. Many players in today’s NBA idolize him.
