Initial Rise to Stardom

Sidhu Moosewala started his career as a lyricist only, giving songs to other Punjabi singers which also had success. His first debut track which he not only wrote but also sang was in 2017 called “So High” with Canada-based producer Byg Byrd and rapper Sunny Malton. His debut song became a hit, gathering millions of views on YouTube and launching Moosewala into the spotlight. “So High” showcased his talent as a lyricist and performer,  which left it’s mark with listeners both in India and abroad. This trio would go on to become one of the best groups in the Punjabi music industry as they went on to make hit after hit after hit as years went by which solidifed his position as the leading figure in Punjabi music. His songs consistently topped the charts and gained widespread recognition and response.

Along with his musical talent, Moosewala’s confidence and electrifying stage presence contributed to his success. His live performances attracted large crowds and further cemented his status as Punjab’s top star.

Along with his talent with music, his confidence and imposing stage presence also contributed to his rise to the top. He would draw large crowds at his shows anywhere he performed.  His show in Dirba, Sangrur which is a region in Punjab, in 2020 had almost 500,000 people in attendance.
