Early and Personal Life

Sidhu Moosewala was born on June 11, 1993, in village Moosa which is located in the Mansa district in Punjab, India. He was born and raised in the traditional rural environment that was deeply rooted in Punjabi culture and traditions that have been ongoing for generations. His upbringing can be seen through his music as he always draws from rural, traditional Punjabi life while also mixing in with Western style as he did live in Canada for some time as an early adult.

Even as he rose to the top with his music, he was so connected to his roots that he still mainly lived with his parents in his home village of Moosa when he could have easily moved to countries such as Canada and the UK or even more modernized cities in India. He stayed humble and true to his roots and what got him to the top so he chose to stay in his village, often seen working in the fields in his free time as a farmer, driving his famous modified 5911 tractor.

He came to Canada during his early adulthood for the same reason that other youngster’s did : for more opportunities and to make a living. During his early time in Canada, he still pursued his passion for music and made connections with producers and other Punjabi artists who were based in Canada, this is where it all took off.

Instead of leaving his home, he built this mansion right in his home village for his family
