Reuben Recipe

Ingredients Needed:

  • 2 slices of rye bread (with/or without seeds)
  • 2-3 tablespoons of Thousand Island dressing
  • 2 slices of swiss cheese
  • 3-4 slices of of deli-sliced corned beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon of softened butter

* sauerkraut is optional

 

How To Cook:

  1. Preheat a skillet or large pan over medium heat.
  2. Spread Thousand Island dressing on one side of both slices of rye bread.
  3. Layer a piece of swiss on the side of bread with the dressing, than layer the desired slices of corned beef, and add another slice of swiss cheese on top of the meat.
  4. Add the slice of rye bread with dressing, face down, on top of the compiled list of ingredients for the sandwich.
  5. Butter the outer side of both slices of bread.
  6. Place sandwich on preheated skillet, butter side down.
  7. Grill both sides of the sandwich until it appears golden brown (about 4-5 minutes on each side).
  8. Serve hot.
