The Dominican Republic is a beautiful Country of the West Indies, located in the Caribbean Sea.  The Capital of the Dominican Republic is Santo Domingo, which is about 122.3 mi west of Punta Cana, a popular resort city.  For Perspective, the Dominican Republic is situated nearly two hours south of Miami, Florida.
