  • Montreal International Jazz Festival

One of the best entertainment there is in the summer would be the Montreal International Jazz fest. Where many world renowned jazz musicians and singers come to perform. There are some free shows people can attend and for the higher musicians there is a fee to pay to get in. A lot of the free shows are on outdoor stages for the people to walk by and enjoy the music. The people that usually attend the jazz fest are adults and families. You don’t really see young kids and teenagers attend these events, unless they are big jazz fans. They have about 20 different stages for different musicians located around Montreal. Many people come to Montreal on that week to see these artists do what they are passionate about.

  • Osheaga Music Festival

Osheaga is also one of Montreal’s biggest festivals, where it occurs over three days before the start of school in August. It has many different music genres, such as rap artists, R&B artists and pop artists. Some big name performers such as Travis Scott, Post Malone and Dua Lipa all performed at this festival. Many teenagers, young adults and tourists attend this festival as big name artists perform and it is always fun going to concerts outside to enjoy the fresh air. They have six stages that artist perform on and they are all in the same area. They have plenty of good food and drinks they serve in small food trucks, so the people don’t starve when they are there all day.

  • LaRonde

Laronde is Montreals amuse park. It is part of the six flags organization. Every time you leave this amusement park you’ll always want to go back. It has a variety of different rides such as roller coasters, water rides, kids rides and plenty of games to win prizes on. It has a section just for the young kids to enjoy and they have a section for the older people to get some screams in. One of the oldest rides there is the Monster. The Monster is a roller coaster made out of all wood, which is pretty impressive to see. They have a lot of food places to enjoy a good lunch or dinner at, as well as some arcade rooms to just go play more games. They have their own fright night which occurs during the month of October, where they have monsters come out and scare people and they do there little shows on the street. LaRonde was my favourite spot as a kid and I always made my parents take me every weekend. As I got older I would always go there with my friends and spend the whole day. They really do make it family friendly as they incorporate every age group and make sure everyone is having a good time, while maintaining a safe environment.
