Weinburg Center

The Weinburg Center is a historic theater located on W Patrick Street. This theater was originally built in 1926 as the Tivoli Theater, which was a silent movie theater. After many ups and downs, the theater was gifted to the City of Frederick by Dan and Alyce Weinburg.

The Weinburg is now used for a variety of events, ranging from music, drama, and even educational performances. Some past performers/presenters include the Who’s Line is It Anyway Tour, a political rally for the presidential candidate Ted Cruz in 2016, and even the Temptations in the past. I have also performed on this stage many times for dance recitals with 24/7 Dance Studio.

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the theater has been closed for almost a year now and is struggling with little income. Many other performance spaces around the world are going through the same thing. For more information and ways to still support the Weinburg Center, please visit their website here.
