Pumpkin Pie Recipe

Ingredients list :

  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/3 cups shortening
  • 5 tablespoons water
  • 15 ounces canned pumpkin puree
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt

Cooking directions:

  1. Preheat oven 450 degrees F
  2. In a small bowl combine flour and salt
  3. Cut in shortening until mixture is crumbly
  4. Gradually add water while tossing with a for until a ball forms
  5. Cover and chill for 30 minutes
  6. Then roll pastry on a light floured surface
  7. Transfer pastry to pie plat
  8. Trim 1/2 ich beyond edges then set aside
  9. For filling whisk pumpkin, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, spices, and salt until smooth the pour into crust
  10. Bake for 15 minutes
  11. After 30-45 minutes cool on wire rack
  12. Store in refrigerator
