Ingredients list :
- 1 cup of flour
- 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/3 cups shortening
- 5 tablespoons water
- 15 ounces canned pumpkin puree
- 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoons salt
Cooking directions:
- Preheat oven 450 degrees F
- In a small bowl combine flour and salt
- Cut in shortening until mixture is crumbly
- Gradually add water while tossing with a for until a ball forms
- Cover and chill for 30 minutes
- Then roll pastry on a light floured surface
- Transfer pastry to pie plat
- Trim 1/2 ich beyond edges then set aside
- For filling whisk pumpkin, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, spices, and salt until smooth the pour into crust
- Bake for 15 minutes
- After 30-45 minutes cool on wire rack
- Store in refrigerator
