🎶Jazz🎶
Jazz in its most complexity is simply a music genre that was originated amongst the African American communities and collectives of New Orleans, Louisiana in the late 19th/early 20th century. The music of New Orleans practiced cultural elemnts such as playing drums. Its roots are in blues and ragtime. As the genre of jazz spread and reproduced around the world, different styles have been drawn on a national, regional, and local level causing the trajectory of jazz to evolve even more. Prominent styles include bebop(1940’s), cool jazz (ending of 1940’s), hard bop (mid 1950’s), modal jazz (late 1950’s), jazz fusion (late 1960’s) and so much more! The beauty in all these styles and the genre itself is comprised behind the swing styles, blues notes, complex chords, polyrhythms, improvisation, syncopation, harmony, call, and response vocals, and most importantly, the feeling and emotion put into songs which convey the variety of personality from each composer/player.
