MLB Rising Stars

The future of the MLB is full of bright, young, and exciting players. As a fan, I can’t wait to see how they will impact and change the game for the years to come. This page will focus on three different players and how they can each impact the game. In no particular order, these three players are Valdimir Guerro Jr of the Toronto Blue Jays, Ronald Acuna Jr of the Atlanta Braves, and Juan Soto of the Washington Nationals.

The most exciting currently would be Juan Soto by far, especially since he and the Nats are coming off a World Series victory this past season. Beating the Astros in the World Series, thanks to Mr. Soto fittingly, was just a glimpse into the potential of this young star. He has incredible bat speed, his defense is good with potential to get better, and he has a great batters eye. Soto will easily be a top 5 star within the next 3-4 years if he stays on the current upward trend he ended last season with.

Ronald Acuna Jr is quite the budding superstar and rightfully the talk of the town around Braves camp. His quick rise to stardom since 2018 has been noticed by all MLB fans, and the older fans are noticing some similarities to Ken Griffy Jr, which is a huge compliment to this young player. At 22 years old he hasn’t even reached his prime so he could quickly become the best player in the league and the new face of baseball. Since joining the Braves he has put the league on notice that although he is young, he is a force to be reckoned with.

Vladimir Guerro Jr was being talked about ever since he was a teenager. That could be due to his dad being a Hall of Fame baseball player, but his skills caught the eyes of scouts all across the league. With a swing similar to his dad’s Vlad Jr was becoming a phenom in the minor leagues while his dad was still terrorizing the majors. When Toronto decided to call him up to the majors the fan base quickly became optimistic. I will say as a Yankee fan I was excited to see him play us, but scared at the same time. Being able to install fear into opposing teams as a rookie is a huge compliment and as his career has begun, he hasn’t disappointed.
