There are plenty of Bicycle trails to enjoy!!
It is no wonder that one of the most popular Lake Tahoe summer activities is hiking. You can explore near Tahoe’s south shore on mellow, scenic paths, or ascend into the Sierra when you hike on the Tahoe Rim Trail or into Desolation Wilderness.
One of the best things to do in Lake Tahoe in summer is to explore from the water. Lake Tahoe has plenty of water-sports for the whole family. This is a must-do Lake Tahoe summer activity! You can rent a jet ski and cruise across the lake or soar over the lake on a parasailing adventure, canoe or paddleboard along the shoreline to hidden beaches, or get your thrill on when you try wake-surfing and wake-boarding.
There is also plenty of fishing charters on the south shore. Additionally, the rivers and streams that feed Lake Tahoe are filled with trout. One of my favorite things to do is to go cliff jumping while visiting the lake (the heights were anywhere from 15 to 25 ft)
Lake Tahoe also has plenty of biking trails and roads. You can speed along exhilarating paths like the notorious Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride take in the beautiful views as you do. Do you like to cycle slowly with family and friends? Travel along the South Lake Tahoe Bike Path, which connects to all the great beaches on the south shore via paved routes. When riding in Lake Tahoe, you’re never far from the water, so cool down after a strenuous ride.
