Symptoms

Some symptoms of a VSD include:

Bluish tint to the skin, lips, and fingernails

Poor feeding

Poor weight gain

Fast breathing

People may experience:

Whole body: Fatigue, inability to exercise, or sweating

Heart: Murmur or enlarged heart

Respiratory: Fast breathing or shortness of breath

Also common: Baby feeding difficulties, blue skin from poor circulation, failure to thrive, or swelling
