Nigeria, the giant of Africa, is the most populous country on the African continent and one of the most diverse nations in terms of culture, ethnicity, and languages.
- Geography: Nigeria is bordered by Niger to the north, Chad to the northeast, Cameroon to the east, and Benin to the west. It has a coastline along the Gulf of Guinea to the south.
- Demographics: With over 200 million people, Nigeria is incredibly diverse. It is home to more than 250 ethnic groups, with the largest being the Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba. English is the official language, but there are over 500 indigenous languages spoken throughout the country.
Nigeria’s Flag: Green white green - Culture: Nigerian culture is rich and diverse, blending traditional customs and modern influences. Nollywood, Nigeria’s booming film industry, is the second-largest in the world by volume, producing thousands of movies annually. Nigerian literature is also renowned globally.
- Religion: Nigeria is religiously diverse, with Christianity and Islam being the two dominant religions. There are also significant populations practicing indigenous African religions.
