Future

The JWST’s mission is intended to last roughly 5 years for its primary purposes with a planned lifespan of 10 years. However, it is possible the JWST could survive up to 20 years before it becomes obsolete. Hopefully the information it is gathering at this moment will bring us closer to understanding the universe and serves as a stepping stone to greater space exploration ventures in the future.
