Islands 

The Philippines is made up of 7,641 islands. You will have plenty of options for doing many activities, and finding the most beautiful beaches and the clearest waters.

Boracay

Boracay is a small island that covers only 10km². You visit and relax at their most well-known beaches, White Beach and Bulabog Beach. In Boracay you can do many different water activities such as snorkeling, kiteboarding, windsurfing, parasailing, and kayaking. White Beach contains contains most of the resorts, hotels, and other accommodations for staying. Bulabog is known for being the island’s water sports capital, where wind-surfing and kiteboarding are  the most popular.

 

 

Cebu

Cebu is one of the biggest islands in the Philippines, and  located in the center of the Visayas region. Cebu is home to Cebu City, which was the Philippines’ first capital and oldest city. Cebu City also contains lots of colonial architecture from Spanish colonization, as well as, museums and centuries-old churches.

Some things to do in Cebu:

  • Kawasan Falls: Here you can go cliff diving, canyoneering, or swimming. When canyoneering Kawasan Falls, you and a group of people would start up at a river and end up down in the main pool of Kawasan Falls. Most of the time would be walking through the riverbed and there might be some very small cliff jumps.

 

  • Fort San Pedro: You can visit a historical military defense structure that was built by the Spanish in 1565. Here you can retrace the history of the Philippines by exploring this Spanish architecture.

Palawan

Palawan is the one of the Philippines’ most biodiverse places to go to. Outdoor activities in Palawan take a much more fun and exciting twist since it’s known for diving and scuba diving. While there are nice beaches, lakes, waterfalls, and rivers to visit and see, you can also expect to see manta rays, green sea turtles, sea horses, cat sharks, and other marine life.

Some things to do in Palawan:

  • Visit El Nido: El Nido is known to be the most popular spot to go to in Palawan and one of the Philippines’ most luxurious looking places. It contains many secluded beaches and smaller islands, and five-star hotels. One of the famous beaches in El Nido is the Secret Beach. The beach is concealed by tall limestone cliffs.

 

  • Dive in the Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park: Tubbataha Reefs National Park was recognized as one of the world’s best dive sites by CNN Travel. This is where you can see the marine biodiversity, large underwater terrain, and a variety of marine wildlife like sea turtles, manta rays, and cat sharks.

  • Visit San Vicente: Here you can take a stroll on the Philippines’ longest white-sand beach, which is also the second-longest in Southeast Asia.
