You can travel between Manila and the major ports of the country. In the Visayas region, there many networks of  inter-island boats for traveling island-to-island within that region. When traveling to and from smaller islands, you can take fast sea crafts. Island hopping by a banca (small, local boat) is another option. By Land

It’s possible to travel by land to get to all the major destinations from Manila to Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao. The most economical way to travel within Metropolitan Manila is through the Light Railway Transit (LRT) and the Metro Rail Transport (MRT). The LRT lines can take  you to and from Quezon City in Northern Manila to Baclaran in southern Manila and from western Manila in Recto Avenue to Santolan St. in western Manila. The MRT lines go through Metro Manila’s main circumferential road.

If you want to travel shorter distances throughout Manila, try taking the famous jeepney. Jeepneys are the most popular mean of public transport and are very cheap. Jeepneys can be found anywhere in the Philippines, and are easily visible with all the colors on the vehicles.
