My high school years were when my swimming career started to progress. I started to take swimming very seriously and wanted to prove everyone wrong. I started to lift and attend more practice than usual.

When the pandemic hit, I used the time off to work independently on growing as a swimmer.  After the pandemic, I came back to swimming as a whole new swimmer. The season after the pandemic I dropped a large amount of time and broke many school and pool records.

At this time in my life, I began the recruiting process. I wasn’t completely sure if I wanted to swim in college but I wanted to explore my options.

In my senior year of high school, I made the decision to commit to Towson University to swim in college. This was one of the hardest decisions I had ever made but I would soon find out that decision would pay off.
