The best time to go to Eritrea actually depend how part of Eritrea you are traveling to! The eastern zone is by far the hottest part of the country and temperatures range from 86 – 104 degrees in the hot seasons (June to August). In the country’s central highland, the climate is temperate. Temperatures usually average at 64 degrees and May is the hottest month, so temperatures can rise to 86 degrees. The coolest months are December to February, when temperatures are freezing cold at night. In the western lowlands, it is similar to the climate in the highlands and their hot months are April to June and their hottest are December.
