When you ask someone about soccer in Brasil, they are likely to tell you it is the country of soccer. Not only because of our success but because of the way we play the game. People around the world refer to soccer in Brasil as “the beautiful game” because when you watch a Brasilian player you can see the flair they play with which is different from everyone else on that pitch, their flashy moves, their burning pace, and their technique is just different from all other players. And this is a fact, just ask any soccer fan.

The sport of soccer was introduced in Brasil during the 1800’s by their Portuguese colonizers. Now a days everyone from kids to adults to the elderly play and follow soccer. It’s a way for people to come together regardless of their social class. It’s popularity stems from the poverty that exists in the country, the millions and millions of kids that grow up in the “favelas” see soccer as a escape from poverty, as they have seen so many of their idols do.
