Completing the Objective is relatively simple once a player is aware of all the enemies they’ll face and comfortable with their respective weaponry and stratagems. Not every mission is the same, but the missions generally aren’t too difficult to complete on their own. This section of the project will go over some of the more common mission types of the 40-minute duration and how best to complete them. Most of the missions are the same in these aspects: focus on the objective, sneak by nests, and avoid patrols.

A Helldiver observes the Objective, trying to figure out where to deploy.
Destroy the Eggs: Usually, three collections of eggs are spread across the map. The easiest way to destroy these eggs is with a flamethrower, but any gun will do. Simply run through each nest and light them ablaze until given the heads-up that enough has been destroyed.
Raise the Flags: This is a bit of a newer mission similar to the previous one in that there are usually three areas to go to but different in the task you need to accomplish. Raising the flag can take a bit of time and it will only happen while you are there and no enemies are present. There is also no progress bar to signify how far along it is. Simply wait each one out though and all should be good.
Launch the ICBM: This mission can be a tad long. One must focus on the main objective here because the final task of the mission can take a while. There are typically two sub-objectives that must be completed prior to the actual launching of the ICBM, refueling and repowering. Depending on placement and distance, either can be done first.
Retrieve the Data: While not as long, this mission is a bit tedious, requiring the Helldiver to lug a hard drive over a significant distance, limiting them to a single-handed weapon. In this case, an SMG in the primary slot would be beneficial, but the carrying is not the bulk of the mission so whether one brings one is up for personal reasons. This mission also has either one or two prerequisites that must be completed before the final task.
Escorts: Escort Missions can be quite difficult solo because the NPCs are not very intelligent. It is recommended that Helldivers bring a sentry or two on these missions to pick up the slack.
Refuel: This mission is quite simple but can take some time. The two spacecraft that must be refueled act slowly and leisurely. In spite of that, usually, there is some time to spare by the end.
Seismic: This mission is pretty neat. It involves the placement of a seismic device into the ground. Upon interacting with its terminal, a bug breath will always spawn. Another will follow after further interaction. This must be done at two separate locations and then the data must be brought to a final location to do it almost again, but with a bit more work on the terminal. Because this mission does rely on a formula, it is a bit easier to deal with and fun. Place yourself in a good position atop one of the rock faces, that are pretty much always nearby, upon the bug breach signal and simply defend. Avoid most nests and patrols and everything should go by pretty quick.
