Lambda Theta Alpha, also known as LTA, is the first Latina Sorority in the Nation. As a support network for women pursuing higher education, seventeen women of Latin, Caribbean, and European heritage founded Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. at Kean University in 1975.
The Delta Psi Chapter was found at Towson University in 2009.
Lambda Theta Alpha’s mission is to establish a sisterhood founded on unity, love, and respect. to cultivate capable leaders who will subsequently provide and carry out political, social, and cultural initiatives. To promote unity through charitable and educational programs. to uphold a high level of instruction and represent every student.
