Leaning Tower of Pisa

- Located in the City of Pisa, Italy
- The original height was 60 m
- Started construction in 1173 and finished in 1339
- It represents the last element in the compliment of the ceremonial complex of monuments that surround the Piazza Dei Miracoli
Sistine Chapel

- Located in Vatican City
- Famously known for “The Creation of Adam” panel
- Multiple artworks were touched up and stripped down in the 1980s and 1990s
- New popes are elected inside the Chapel
The Colosseum

- Located in Rome, Italy
- The largest amphitheater in the world!
- The building has 80 entrances and could seat approximately 50,000 spectators
- Below the Colosseum were numerous rooms and underground passages
- Most of the damages to the colosseum were due to vandalism, earthquakes and fires
Trevi Fountain

- Located in Rome, Italy
- The fountain features Neptune, on a shell-shaped chariot pulled by two horses
- Mostly built from travertine stone
- Stands at 85 feet tall and 65 feet wide
- Water pumps from multiple sources and spills about 2,824,800 cubic feet of water every day!
Cathedral of Santa Maria del Flore

- Located in Florence, Italy
- Took over 140 years to complete
- Has the largest masonry dome in the world
- The third largest cathedral in the world being St. Peter’s in Rome and St. Pauls in London
- The cathedral was named after the symbol of the city of Florence
